Favorite OKC Hotel Staycation

We like to sneak away for an overnight at least a few times a year, if we can. It allows us to have an extended moment of escape while not being too far from home. We don’t have to navigate a city we don’t know, which makes Clayton very happy. We like it when Clayton is happy. 😂

In an ideal world, we like to time it to stay overnight when the kids have school the next day. So we get the whole next day to hang out before they hop off the bus from school. I am a refreshed happier person when I get some good downtime without my precious children.

My favorite Oklahoma City hotel right now is the Ellison. It is a Marriott tribute portfolio hotel. I love the location, the decor, and the service is phenomenal. Here is my little video on the Ellison Hotel.

We have gone back to The Ellison numerous times because it is just so comfortable and close. I really love the pool! It is super modern, swanky, and hip! Here is a link to our blog post for The Ellison.

Even the hotel keys are fun with different prints and colors!

The Ellison is at the corner of 63rd and Western. So you are close to all the Nichols Hills Plaza and Classen Curve restaurants and shopping options. The last time we stayed for our anniversary we had dinner at Flips Wine Bar. We just walked there. It was a little bit chilly in December for a walk but we did get to see all the Chesapeake Christmas lights.

Right in the hotel is The Milo Restaurant. So you could just walk downstairs to eat and never leave the restaurant. I am a big fan of their brunch menu.

I have a whole video dedicated just to the Milo restaurant. It is that good!

I am obsessed with their fried seasonal pie with the most magical side of whipped cheese and candied rosemary on top. I really would just like to pull up and order the dessert to go on a daily basis. I also have a blog post on The Milo.

So there you have it. That is my recommendation for the perfect place to stay when you plan your next OKC Staycation. A little couples time just one-on-one is good for the soul.
