Where to Eat in OKC: Hatch Early Mood Food

Hey, friends.

Sophie and I had a little girl's breakfast today and we went to Hatch Early Mood Food. We went to the one at Chisholm Creek, but they also have one downtown. So Sophie ordered The King Sans Bananas. Pancakes covered with peanut butter and bacon and bourbon maple syrup. She thought they were delicious.  They were a little sweet for me, but Sophie loved them. I think I would've thrown those bananas in there too. I'm a banana person though. So she had breakfast with a tribute to the king of rock and roll. We had to go back and study up on what Elvis really did order since we were having a tribute breakfast. He loved sandwiches with banana and bacon and peanut butter. Sophie's going to try that next, maybe.

I ordered the salmon eggs benedict and it was yum. So my favorite thing is their little fried tumblers. I had them church them up with bacon and chives and hollandaise sauce on top, which really took them over the top, but there's nothing better than a fried potato in my opinion. We had the chicken fried soft boiled eggs as our appetizer, which I think is super yummy. They have two different little sauces on the side that are so good.

Make sure you use the Yelp waitlist because they are often on a wait. We love the yellow happy patio, when the weather is nice is a great option.

So if you haven't tried The Hatch, you should totally go. Great brunch option in Oklahoma City.
