Make Your House A Home: Christmas Tray Display

Hi, friends!. So, I am borrowing Karlee’s talents again, because now we have another holiday upon us, Christmas, and I don't even know what to do with my coffee table. Right now I have two bowls with various things just sitting there independently. And I feel like I could do better with help because on my own, it's not working. But with Karlee's help, we're going to come up with a better plan.

Karlee: Yeah, we've got some tips and some tricks.

Lauren: Yay. So, follow along.

We have another holiday and Karlee is going to save me from me.

Karlee: It's just a lot. It's overwhelming and it's a lot, especially when it comes to your coffee table. You have a mental block.

Lauren: I do. I have a couple of areas where there are mental blocks in my home, but this one we're going to tackle this one.
Karlee: Yeah.

Lauren: So enter the tray.

Karlee: Right. The tray anchors everything.

Lauren: Yeah.

Karlee: And we had a lot of choices that we were starting with. And so we just kind of started with what was really calling to you the most. And we decided it was this big, beautiful white.

Lauren: All the feels.

Karlee: Yeah.

Lauren: All the feels for this.

Karlee: Yeah. That started it. And obviously, her coffee table's big. She has a lot of space, a lot of room to afford a big tray. So now we're just kind of layering it and putting it all together. Again not the layers.

Lauren: Layering is so important.

Karlee: Yeah. So I'm just putting some...These are actually cut from our, I think it's a juniper tree in my backyard.

Lauren: Karlee is so outdoorsy.

Karlee: Yeah, I am. Hopefully, I don't have an allergy to this or something.

Lauren: We'll report back.

Karlee: So I'm just layering those in. And I need this last one. And then playing with the height is kind of an important part of the tray. You have a big round thing with flowers. So we were just going to maybe do a little book for some height. She liked these little trees and they do light up, but... Oh, not like that. She can do that later. My bad again. But that'd be fun if it's lit up and festive. And then we just did a little bowl of ornaments to kind of go with her vibe. Add a little candle in.

Lauren: She makes it look so simple.

Karlee: Not really, I'm just, I'm kind of mixing. So maybe we don't need the candle.

My gorgeous tray for my coffee table!

I broke the rules and asked for four things! I LOVE it SOOO much!

Lauren: I thought we liked the candle last time. We like the candle.

Karlee: Okay. We like the candle. Usually, it's a rule of three. So this is kind of throwing me off because it's the fourth thing, but we can leave it for now. And then just sprinkle... You're the boss. Sprinkle in some pine cones for some natural-

Lauren: And I love these.

Karlee: They're flocked.

Lauren: They're flocked pine cones. I mean, can you even!

Karlee: Can't really see how it's ending up. I'll make sure it looks good. I won't show you the finished result. But yeah, just some pretty pine branches and berries and all... Kind of a coordinating color scheme, but not too matchy-matchy.

Lauren: Yeah.

Karlee: Natural

Lauren: It looks put together.

Karlee: Yeah.

Lauren: It's much better than my two random bowls.

Lauren: Yay. Okay, so you could do this for other people.

Karlee: Yeah, I could. Just me.

Lauren: So if you need help

Karlee: This whole tray actually could be duplicated.

Lauren: Yes. You too can have your own fabulous tray like mine. And we could be twins.

Karlee: Tray twins.

Lauren: And it'll be so fun. So break it down for us. When we were making a plan, you had this table of all these fun choices. See, fun choices.

Karlee: All look like you and felt like they went with your vibe.

Lauren: Yes. They matched my Pinterest board without even seeing it.

Karlee: I didn't even see it!

Lauren: So Karlee is a mind reader. That's a fun skill!

Karlee: Yes. Not for everyone. Just for you.

Lauren: Right.

Karlee: When you saw this big white situation, you did that noise and you said, "That's the one." That's the thing that makes you go... So, that's where we are going to start. And I just bought a few bunches of kind of mixed greenery, the berries. You've got a pretty traditional vibe at your house, not a lot of non-traditional colors, not a lot of metallics and golds and silvers and whites. So earthy classic is kind of what we're thinking. So I can take this over here. We thought that your coffee table is rather large, so we could stand the size of this largest tray that we have.

We have several choices, but you liked this one the best. So, that's what we're working with. And I think we're going to just take it over to my coffee table and play with it and kind of arrange it and see what else we like and then she can take it home.

Lauren: Yay. The best part.

Karlee: I'm back. This is the sister. Once I got started, I just couldn't stop with the trays. So I put together another option that I think I love almost as much as the one we did for Lauren, but it's got this pretty wooden bowl still with the greenery and the pine cones and the ornaments, darling little house that also lights up like those trees. And then this little tree in a pot. Is that not the cutest? A little more rustic option, more neutral, but I think just as fun and pretty. Opportunities and options are endless with these trays. They're so fun.

We needed one last look at all the trays Karlee put together! She is SO talented it is just ridiculous! Do you need a tray? Send me a message and I will connect you!

And another option, number three. This one is obviously a little more glam and sparkle. I think these mercury glass trees are just beautiful. There are three of them on there. Just sparkles so pretty. Again, with a little house and just some gold and white and mixed metallic ornaments on the gold mirror tray. So if your vibe is a little more glam, wouldn't that be beautiful? All right. Someone's got to get in touch and get some of these from me because I only have so many coffee tables. But I really would like to keep all of them.
