Where to Eat in OKC: Dot Wo

Dot Wo has been a long-time favorite for our family. The Ha Family opened the first Dot Wo restaurant in 1989 on Portland. They had locations in the metro area and then closed some and relocated others. They do have a Dot Wo in south Oklahoma City, but when Dot Wo Garden on May and 63rd closed we couldn’t get our favorite dishes quite as easily.

Chigama was opened by the Ha Family as well and it was one of my favorites. They had a shrimp taco that was to die for! I am really hoping they keep some of those menu options available! They recently made the decision to rename Chigama and bring back Dot Wo to the same space at May and Memorial and I could not be more thrilled to have them close by again!

I love the green bean beef! That is my go-to dish that I get every time. I seriously must consider branching out. The shelled shrimp with salt and pepper is also a favorite. I love to go at lunch time and then you can get soup and a wonton and egg roll. I am a hot and sour soup girl. Give it a try and let me know what you think. Tag #BestLifeOKC in your post when you visit and let me know about your favorite dish. That will encourage me to try new things.
