Where to Eat in OKC: New State Burgers

Hey, friends. I have a new place you must go eat… New State Burgers in the Plaza district. Yummy.

It is really good and has a super fun vibe and a great cocktail menu.  We ordered the fried banana peppers. Genius idea. I have never had a fried banana pepper. So good, whatever magical fried breading they put on it, it was really good, and a great little dipping sauce that was kind of was ranch-ish, maybe, but better than that. And then I got the cheeseburger with all the things that come on it: diced onion, red onion, and diced pickles. And I might have added the deep fried shallots onto it because I love a fried leek. Why wouldn't I also love a fried shallot? And I do. I do.  So you need to go and try it. Sophie got the tater tots with beer cheese. She was a big fan of their tots. And I got the green beans, the garlic green beans on the side. They were fresh, yummy, not overcooked at all. They were perfect. And oh, by the way, it's a two patty burger so you're getting a lot of burger. Oh, and the bun was toasted to perfection.  So you need to go give it a try. Brilliantly, if you don't order their Carnegie Deli cheesecake, which I'm getting that next time I go, you can pop over to Pie Junkie when you're done, which we did.

So go try it. New State Burgers. You're going to like it. I promise.
