We Planned to Stop in for Drinks... Then Stayed for Dinner

We stopped by The Winston planning to grab a drink and catch up for a bit.

That was the plan, anyway.

We ordered a couple of cocktails, looked over the menu, and before long we decided to stay for dinner too. It turned into an evening where nobody was watching the clock, and honestly, those are usually my favorite.

Happy Hour That Turned Into Dinner

We stopped in during happy hour, so it was a fun excuse to try a couple of cocktails. I ordered the watermelon cocktail, and that ended up being my favorite. It was light, refreshing, and exactly what I was hoping for.

We also shared a few small plates before dinner. I always love doing that because everyone gets to try a little bit of everything, and it makes dinner feel a little more relaxed.

Why We'd Go Back

What I'll remember most isn't just what we ordered. It's that we came in planning for one drink and ended up staying for the whole evening.

Those are usually the places I end up telling people about.
