Lunch at The Chalkboard: Midtown’s Hidden Gem Inside the Ambassador Hotel!

A Delicious Lunch Adventure at The Chalkboard!

If you know me, you know I love trying new restaurants—so when I had the chance to grab lunch at The Chalkboard in Midtown, I was all in!

This charming little spot is nestled inside the historic Ambassador Hotel, and from the moment you walk in, you can feel the cozy yet elegant vibe—think warm lighting and intimate seating. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint!

Let’s Talk FOOD! 🍽️

I started with the French Onion Soup, and wow—this was next-level comfort food. Cheesy, gooey, rich, and loaded with deep, caramelized onion flavor. You know that moment when you take the first bite, and your eyes automatically close in happiness? Yep. That happened.

Then came the Salmon Salad, and let’s just say, I was officially in my happy place. ✨ Perfectly cooked, flaky salmon on a bed of fresh greens with all the right flavors coming together in harmony. Light yet satisfying, healthy but indulgent—basically, everything you want in a lunch.

And since I can never resist sneaking a peek at what everyone else at the table is eating (anyone else guilty of this?), I may or may not have stolen a bite of my friend’s dish. It was lovely and next time, I’ll be branching out even more!

Service with a Side of Friendliness

One of the things I loved about The Chalkboard was the service. The staff was warm, welcoming, and knew their menu inside and out. It’s one of those places where you can tell they truly care about your experience, which makes all the difference!

Would I Go Back?

Yes, ABSOLUTELY! This is the kind of place that works for any occasion—whether you're grabbing a quick but delicious lunch, enjoying a romantic dinner, or catching up with friends over cocktails. And trust me, next time, I’m 100% saving room for dessert! 🍰

So tell me—have you been to The Chalkboard Kitchen & Bar? What should I try next? Drop your recommendations in the comments—I’m always looking for my next great meal!

Until next time, happy dining! 🥂
