Where to Eat in OKC: Kitchen 324
Hey, friends let me tell you about Kitchen 324. They're a Good Egg restaurant and they are located in downtown Oklahoma City, around Robinson and 5th. Here's the thing that I find funny about what I order there.
So, whenever my mom was making Brussels sprouts or cauliflower or broccoli, all very smelly, I would walk through the kitchen and gag. And then proceeded to tell her that is was the most disgusting thing, and I don't even know how she eats that.
When I would go to Kitchen 324 in the past, they had a thing on the menu called the farmer's plate, or something like that. They're not really doing it anymore, but I've virtually made my own. Roasted cauliflower with this yummy cheese sauce, breadcrumbs, and Brussels sprouts with thick-cut bacon and toasted walnuts. What is that about toasting things, it makes it so yummy. Then I got french fries with a yummy spicy mayo.
My dessert choice to the day, now this is where I just totally turn into my mother, which is a great thing. But back then it was one of those, I will never eat that!
Roasted beet salad with goat cheese! I mean, anything with goat cheese is magical. It's cold, which I love, and then they throw in citrus. It has grapefruit, orange slices, and pecans. And then some sort of honey dressing on it. It's magical. And apparently, I am in my forties because I like all the foods I thought I'd never eat, and I intentionally go there, crave them, and order them.
Kitchen 324 used to be open for dinner as well, but they've adjusted due to the pandemic. So they serve breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Their brunch menu is phenomenal. It's down here by SandRidge, so I think it gets a little busy at the business-time lunch crowd. I got there at 1:00 so I missed brunch, but I had a delightful lunch. And breakfast would be a phenomenal choice as well, you just can't go wrong with Kitchen 324. Go try it, you won't be sorry.
