Where to Eat in Edmond Oklahoma | Cafe 501

If you know, you know. Café 501 is one of those places you suggest and everyone immediately agrees. It’s easy, it’s inviting, and the menu always has something for everyone, whether you’re in the mood for comfort food or something lighter.

The Only Right Way to Start, Dessert First

I fully believe dessert should never wait, especially at Café 501. We started with the ricotta cheese cookie, which I order every single time without hesitation, and the strawberry cake, another favorite that never misses. My aunt grabbed the cornflake cookie and confirmed what we already knew, it’s delicious. If you’ve never started a lunch with dessert here, consider this your sign.

Lunch That Makes Everyone Happy

After dessert, we moved on to the good stuff. I went with the coyote chicken sandwich, crispy, satisfying, and exactly what I was craving. My mom ordered one of their bowls, fresh and filling without being heavy, and Aunt Lisa chose the BLT, which is always a solid choice here. We also shared the hummus, and I have to say, it’s one of the most fun and colorful plates on the table, perfect for sharing and snacking.

Why Café 501 Is Always a Good Idea

What I love about Café 501 is how effortless it feels. You can come for a birthday, a casual lunch, or a last minute plan and it always works. The menu is approachable but thoughtful, the desserts are a must, and it’s one of those places that just feels comfortable in the best way.

If you’re in Edmond and looking for a spot that everyone at the table will enjoy, put Café 501 at the top of your list. And next time you’re there, tell me, do you start with dessert too or is that just me?
